Al-Rass Municipality, affiliated with the Qassim Region Municipality, has implemented development works for the northwestern part of Al-Mahfal Park, which covers an area of more than 455,000 square meters. The works included the design of a plant maze inspired by the map of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with an area of approximately 7,000 square meters, with a length of 130 meters and a width of 90 meters. Plant barriers were implemented using more than 15,000 Dodonia trees to divide the maze into the most prominent areas of the Kingdom. The maze includes two gates: the first in the northwest side represents the NEOM Gate, a symbol of the future, and the second in the southeast side represents the sands of the Empty Quarter. Different regional plants were distributed within the maze according to their natural density in the regions of the Kingdom. This project comes as part of the efforts of Al-Rass Municipality to improve the urban landscape and enhance the quality of life in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
