Qassim Region Municipality announced its readiness for the rainy situation and raised its readiness to the maximum level based on the warnings issued by the competent authorities regarding expectations of rain falling in the region on Wednesday, 29-7-1446 AH.
The official spokesman for the Qassim Region Municipality, Mr. Nayef bin Abdul Rabbah Al-Nafie, explained that the municipality has distributed field teams and machinery to vital sites in the region, while intensifying preventive maintenance operations for culverts and manholes to ensure their readiness to drain water smoothly.
Al-Nafie explained that the Municipality has allocated more than 85 field teams, including more than 300 individuals, in addition to 160 equipment and machinery, noting that the efforts aim to reduce any effects that may result from the expected rainy conditions, in order to ensure the safety of residents and the continuity of services throughout the region.
Al-Nafie stressed that the Municipality is working in coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure a rapid response to any climate developments, while continuing to monitor sites and ensure the readiness of the infrastructure. Al-Nafie called on everyone to cooperate by reporting any emergency cases through the designated channels to enhance joint efforts in confronting weather conditions.
