Establishment of the Municipality
Buraidah Municipality was established on 1381/03/01 AH. Abdullah bin Hamoud Al-Barrak was appointed as the first mayor, followed by Suleiman bin Mohammed Al-Duraibi, then Saleh Barrak Al-Ali Al-Barrak, then Saleh bin Mohammed Al-Nafea, then Abdulhadi bin Dhawi Al-Harbi, then Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Bulaihi, then Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri, then Saleh bin Ali Al-Aidan, and finally Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Sultan in 1425 AH.
Establishment of Al-Qassim Region Municipality
On 15/07/1426 AH, Buraidah Municipality was upgraded to Al-Qassim Region Municipality. Eng. Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Sultan was appointed as its first Secretary.
In 1434 AH, Eng. Saleh bin Ahmed Al-Ahmad was appointed as Secretary of Al-Qassim Region.
In 1438 AH, Eng. Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Majali was appointed as Secretary of Al-Qassim Region.
