The Qassim Region Municipality announced raising its readiness to maximum level in preparation for the expected rainy conditions starting yesterday evening, Sunday, and today, Monday, corresponding to 22-23-10-1446 AH, based on warnings issued by the competent authorities.
The official spokesperson for the Qassim Region Municipality, Mr. Nayef bin Abdul Rabbah Al-Nafie, explained that the municipality has activated field emergency plans, distributed teams and equipment to vital sites, and intensified preventative maintenance work on flood drainage networks and manholes to ensure their readiness and enhance their efficiency.
Al-Nafie pointed out that the municipality has deployed more than 86 field teams, comprising over 290 personnel, along with 152 pieces of equipment and machinery, as part of its efforts to mitigate the effects of the rainy season and ensure the safety of residents and the continuity of services.
Al-Nafie emphasized that the Municipality is working in continuous coordination with relevant authorities to monitor weather developments and ensure a rapid response to any emergency, while continuing field monitoring and ensuring the efficiency of infrastructure at all locations.
Al-Nafie urged everyone to cooperate and report any emergency through official channels, emphasizing that community solidarity enhances the effectiveness of efforts to address climate conditions. He emphasized that the municipality places the safety of citizens and residents at the forefront of its priorities.
